National Indigenous History Month

At Vallen Canada Inc., we recognize the significance of Indigenous Peoples Day in Canada and proudly stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities. This day offers a vital opportunity for all Canadians to honor the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Indigenous Peoples and reflect on their enduring strength and resilience.

As an ally corporation, we are committed to continuing to foster an inclusive environment that respects and supports Indigenous heritage. We acknowledge the deep injustices and systemic inequalities faced by Indigenous communities and understand our responsibility to actively support reconciliation efforts.

Our commitment includes:

  • Supporting Indigenous Businesses and Communities: We are dedicated to pursuing mutually beneficial partnerships with Indigenous-owned businesses, investing in communities, and supporting economic opportunities that empower Indigenous Peoples.
  • Promoting Education and Awareness: We strive to educate our leaders, associates and stakeholders about Indigenous histories and cultures through programs, and activities that promote cultural sensitivity and understanding.
  • Encouraging Reconciliation Efforts: We support the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action.  At Vallen we ensure that Indigenous Peoples have equitable access to jobs, training, and education opportunities.  We continue to work towards meaningful change by integrating these principles into our corporate policies and practices.

We believe that honouring Indigenous Peoples Day is not just about recognition but also about taking tangible steps toward a more just and equitable society.  Vallen Canada Inc. is honored to join Canadians in commemorating Indigenous Peoples Day.
